The programme, titled Strong Women, featured Indonesian celebrities Claudia Andhara and Nathalie Holscher joining hands to clean up waste that had built up in the Ciliwung River Trash Filter at Segment 3, TB Simatupang, South Jakarta. At the heart of the cleanup operation was the POWERPLUS PP600E-XI Excavator, customized to be equipped with the Cargo Handler configuration with a multi-tine grapple attachment. The episode captured an actual demonstration of the machine in action, tackling the tasks with power and efficiency. The PP600E-XI Excavator featured in the broadcast was outfitted with a multi-tine grapple rather than a traditional bucket, allowing for cleaner and more efficient handling of debris, reducing water content clinging or pooling on the material to be picked up, an aspect particularly valuable for waste clearance in wet areas.

Beyond the televised programme, the POWERPLUS excavator was deployed by Jakarta’s Water Body Unit (UPS Badan Air) response team following a critical emergency. Following a prolonged heavy downpour in the early quarter of the year, flooding was rampant which carried significant debris downstream through the Ciliwung River, clogging the TB Simatupang Dam Filter.
To prevent the compounded effect from the continued buildup of waste material, swift and effective action needed to be taken to break up the blockage caused. The PP600E-XI Excavator with its robust arm and specialized grapple attachment was instrumental in removing the blockage that threatened to aggravate the flood.
